
Dr.
Kim
is
currently an Assistant Professor of Management Information
Systems at School of Business,
Indiana University Kokomo.
She earned Ph.D. degree in Management (with MIS concentration)
from
Krannert School of Management,
Purdue University in 2006. She holds both masters and bachelors
degrees in chemical engineering from
Korea Advanced Institute of Science
and Technology (KAIST).
Dr. Kim's
research interests cover a variety of topics in MIS. Foremost
among them is her investigation of online service markets and
their implications to IT human capital management, from a yield
management perspective. Additionally, she has studied vendor
selection mechanisms in online service marketplaces. This, along
with research focusing on the issue of pricing and innovation
decisions concerning consecutive versions of IT-intensive
products, comprises the scope of her research. She also
possesses a strong background in numerous research methodologies
including Operations Research, Economics modeling, and empirical
analysis.
Professor Kim has taught undergraduate and MBA level
courses such as Introduction to MIS, E-commerce Infrastructure,
Advanced Topics in Management Information Systems and The
Computer in Business at Indiana University Kokomo and Purdue
University for several semesters. She is especially enthusiastic
about teaching in such areas as: IS principles, e-commerce,
systems analysis and design, telecommunications, database
management, and information security.
Prior to
joining the Purdue PhD program, she worked as a Software
Engineer at
Samsung SDS systems
and a visiting scholar at Technische
Universität
Berlin (TU Berlin), Germany. |
