The center’s mission is to help all children in Howard
County be successful when
they enter kindergarten.
We
do this by providing information and ideas for you to try
with your child;
sponsoring
monthly events and providing “take home totes” filled with books,
games, puzzles and other educational toys.
We also work with other
organizations in the community who provide services
for
families with young children

You can find us at 2725 S. Lafountain St. in the
Early Outreach Building
( located on the corner of Lafountain and Lincoln, directly across from the golf
course).

Our Free Programs for residents of
Howard County
“Totes for Tots”
“Totes for tots” are
canvas bags full of items selected specifically for your
child.
The tote can be
delivered to your home, place of work,or where your
child is during the day.
Each month the
tote is traded for a new tote with different books and
activities.
The items in the
tote will help
your child learn important concepts
like sounds, colors,
numbers, eye-hand
coordination, problem solving, sharing, etc.to provide a
foundation for success in school,

We will not be
doing any scheduled Activity days during the summer, but
we're open Monday - Friday, 9am to 5 pm.
Bring your
children in whenever we're open and have fun helping them paint, play with clay,
play games or just sit and read
to them.

Bi-weekly Newsletters
Our newsletter is mailed out every two weeks
and includes activity ideas, information about child
development,
things that are going on in the community, and
other things of interest to those who have young children.
