IU Kokomo Comedian Chris Russell

Meet Chris, He made his first stand-up debut at IU Kokomo during Disability Awareness Month. He was born with Cerebral Palsy but does not let this stop him from climbing the ladder of success. Chris takes a fresh look at living with a disability as he makes his audience laugh and learn about Disability Awareness.

Disability Services is for students who have a documented disability. The disability must meet the standard required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The ADA defines an individual with a disability as a person who (1) has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the person, (2) has a record of such an impairment or (3) is regarded as having such an impairment. Major life activities include caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, and working. This definition can carry a broad range of disabilities.
