IU Kokomo M.B.A. program among nation’s best

April 9, 2007

KOKOMO, Ind.—Indiana University Kokomo’s School of Business is celebrating its sixth consecutive listing in U.S. News and World Report’s annual guidebook America’s Best Graduate Schools. The 2008 edition, currently on newsstands, provides data on graduate school programs in 11 different disciplines.

“It is an honor to have been included in the Best Graduate Schools guidebooks for the period 2003–2008,” said IU Kokomo Business Dean Niranjan Pati, Ph.D. “The IU Kokomo School of Business has the only Master of Business Administration program located in our seven-county primary service area that was noted in the guidebook. This should provide our alumni and current students good reason to spread our earned status as a first-option graduate program in business.”

Established in 1990, IU Kokomo’s M.B.A. program has more than 200 graduates, most of whom still reside in the immediate area. Sixty-five percent of all living IU Kokomo graduates reside in the campus’s seven-county primary service area, and 83 percent reside in the state of Indiana.

The U.S. News and World Report guidebook provides helpful information to prospective students, such as entrance requirements, enrollment, cost of attendance, career prospects, graduate salary statistics, and areas of student specialization. The publication offers data on more than 1,200 graduate programs, including the 406 M.B.A. programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International as of August 2006. IU Kokomo received its first AACSB accreditation in 2001.
