Minors in Social and Behavioral Sciences
History Minor
- Minors must complete 15 credit hours in history with a grade of C- or higher in each course.
- The following courses are required of all history minors:
- H113 or H114 History of Western Civilization I or II (3 credits)
- H105 or H106 American History: General Course I or II (3 credits)
- Minors must take any three 300- or 400-level History courses (totaling 9 credit hours).
Political Science Minor
- Minors must complete 15 credit hours in political science with a grade of C- or higher in each course.
- The following courses are required of all political science minors:
- Y103 Introduction to American Politics (3 credits)
- Y217 Introduction to Comparative Politics or Y219 Introduction to World Politics (3 credits)
- Minors must take any three 200-, 300-, or 400-level political science courses (totaling 9 credit hours), with a limit of 3 credit hours at the 200 level.
Psychology Minor
- Minors must complete 15 credit hours in psychology with a grade of C- or higher in each course.
- The following courses are required of all psychology minors:
- P103 General Psychology (3 credits)
- P211 Methods of Experimental Psychology (3 credits)
- Minors must take any three 200-, 300-, or 400-level psychology courses (totaling 9 credit hours). At least two of these courses must be at the 300- or 400-level.
Sociology Minor
- Minors must complete 15 credit hours in sociology with a grade of C- or higher in each course.
- One of the following two courses is required of all sociology minors:
- S100 Introduction to Sociology or S101 Social Problems and Policies (3 credits)
- Minors must take any four 200-, 300-, or 400-level sociology courses (totaling 12 credit hours).
