Library Cards for Indiana Residents
Any resident of the state of Indiana with a valid Indiana driver's license or proof of residency can obtain a borrower's card. This card will allow you to check out materials (e.g. books, videos, CDs, and DVDs) that are available within the Indiana University Kokomo Library. Check the Library's circulation policy for details on how long you may keep materials checked out.
Using IUCAT, our Library Catalog
Off-Campus Access
Indiana residents may browse the Library's collection or search for a specific book by using IUCAT, the online catalog for all IU Libraries. To access the catalog from off-campus, start at the Indiana University Kokomo homepage. Once there, click on "Academics" in the gray bar toward the top of the page, and then select "Library" from the left-hand navigation menu. This will take you to the IU Kokomo Library homepage.
For help with using IUCAT, see our Getting Started page. Please note that as an Indiana resident, you may only log in to IUCAT as a guest.
As an Indiana Resident, you may fully search the catalog, but any resources that are labeled as electronic resources are only available off-campus to IU students, faculty, and staff. However, you may access these electronic resources from on-campus, using the Library's public access terminals.
Here is an example of how an electronic resource record is displayed in IUCAT. For more IUCAT help, please Ask A Librarian.

On-Campus Access
Indiana residents may access all of the Library's resources, both print and electronic, from the two public access terminals located on the first floor of the Library, near the Ask A Librarian desk. To better understand what these terminals offer and how to best use them, see our Public Access and Research page.
