Summary:White County business people, volunteering their time and money, formed the White County Economic Action Team (WCEAT) to provide a catalyst for countywide economic improvement. Working in harmony with elected officials, we brought about positive initiatives to further White County\'s economy. Formed in March 2004, we developed a marketing plan that included branding the county. \"White County...Pure Opportunity\" carries the brand on this website, county brochures and various other literatures. We have conducted business enhancement workshops to attempt to bring new expert thinking to local small businesses. Other initiatives we are developing include database marketing, an education center and business incubator.

We are also working with Purdue University\'s Office of Engagement and developing strategies to leverage their knowledge to attract new business and business expansion to the county. Additionally, we are seeking opportunities for our schools to partner with Purdue University to develop technology curricula and encourage entrepreneurship.
