Do you enjoy being a leader, creating plans and solving problems?  Then you have come to the right place.  Welcome to the School of Public and Environmental Affairs.  We provide undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Public Affairs and a Masters degree in Public Management.  In addition, we offer certificates in Homeland Security/Emergency Management, Correctional Management and Supervision, and Public Safety.

A degree in Criminal Justice opens the doors to a broad range of careers inside and outside the justice arena, and it may be your first step to pursuing graduate study in criminal justice, public affairs, or law.  Criminal justice graduates perform a variety of services for the public including investigating crimes and overseeing those who been convicted of crimes to name a few. Their goal is to protect the lives and property of their fellow citizens. 

A degree in Public Affairs prepares you for a career in public and nonprofit management.  Both nonprofit and public organizations need individuals to oversee and lead their operations.  If you are interested in creating change and making a difference through your leadership skills, then a degree in public affairs if for you.   Students in this degree program may choose concentrations in health administration, public management or criminal justice.

Our graduate degree in Public Management provides public service managers the skills to cope with challenging human and technical issues. It also provides a broad interdisciplinary background in the values and ethics of public management. It is designed as preparation for executive leadership position in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
