Indiana University Kokomo is committed to providing a safe environment for all students, employees, and visitors to campus. The campus is patrolled on a regular basis, and escort service to parking areas is available upon request by calling (765) 455-9363. Safety call boxes are located in all Indiana University Kokomo parking lots. If you're on campus and need help, push the button on the call box and a message will immediately be sent to campus police. Once the call box is activated, campus police will know the exact location of the individual who needs assistance. Campus police are available until 10 p.m. If a call box is activated after that time, it will be sent to the Kokomo Police Department.

Accidents or emergencies that occur when the office is closed should be reported to the Physical Plant office at (765) 455-9273.
A brochure on safety and security, which contains information on crime statistics, the campus escort service, emergency call boxes, reporting crimes, and other university policies, is mailed to all students with their parking permits.

Bioterrorism Information:
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to educate themselves about mail safety by learning to identify suspicious packages and letters and becoming knowledgeable about anthrax. IU Kokomo continues to monitor the campus mail situation carefully. If you see what you believe to be a legitimate case of potential bioterrorism, alert campus police by calling extension 363.
