In the Digital Media Center, students will have access to six (6) Apple Mac Pro computers, offering both Mac OSX Snow Leopard and Windows 7 via a dual boot setup. An additional two (2) Mac Pro Dual Boot workstations are located in the production rooms of the Digital Media Center. Advanced audio interface tools are available to perform voice-overs and narrations or multi-track audio recording.
Currently, the software builds for these workstations are the campus standard builds for each OS platform. However, we are always looking for new applications that will support student's computing objectives. If you don't see a software title to support your needs, please contact the IT Support Center (kohelp@iuk.edu) to submit your request. We will consider these requests based on our ability to provide support, budget constraints, and interoperability with existing software.
Additional multimedia creation tools, including video/still image cameras, Wacom Tablets, podcasting kits, and more can be checked out at the Library Circulation desk.
