Dictionary and Abbreviations

 Registration Dictionary

Arranged - Indicates the meeting times will be arranged by the instructor

Co-requisite - Course which must be taken simultaneously with another specified course or courses.

Catalog Number - Number assigned to identify a specific course, which generally does not change from semester-to-semester.

Class Title - Titles appearing in boldface is the title that appears on student records.

Class Number - Number that identifies a specific segment of a course by the days and times the class meets

Credit Hours - Number of credits students will earn upon completion of a course. They are roughly equivalent to the number of hours students spend in class each week during the semester.

Restriction - Student must have declared the major authorized for the section or have permission from the course department or instructor to register

Prerequisite - Course(s) or skill(s) a student is required to have before enrolling in a particular course

Permission - Indicates that you must be enrolled in that particular school or have permission from that department in order to register for the course
