IU Kokomo welcomes international students, and we want your transition to IU Kokomo to be smooth. We work hard to foster your academic success and well-being. In collaboration wiht colleagues throughout campus and the community, International Student Services (ISS) serves as a home away from home to those who have travelled far to join us.

English Proficiency Documentation Options

If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency in English prior to admission to meet IUK's minimum standard for acceptance to both undergraduate and graduate programs.

*Please note that all test results must be sent to IUK directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Indiana University Kokomo does not accept hand-carried score reports. Students who have graduated from an English-speaking high school or college are exempt from English proficiency documentation.

IU Kokomo does not have an intensive ESL English program, but we do have a number of ESL courses. Students who desire to improve their English proficiency level before enrolling in IU Kokomo can attend one of the following intensive ESL programs.
