Rick Alexander, MS holds a Master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate of Indiana Univeristy Bloomington and has also studied at Butler University and IUPUI. He took over as Indiana University Kokomo Crescendos Director in the spring term of 2011. He is also the music director at St Andrew Episcopal Church in Kokomo and teaches privately. In the fall of 2011 he began a new group, the IUK Diminuendos, and has plans for more groups in future semesters. He studied with world renowned tenor Steven Stolen who has his own program, Stolen Moments. He has sung with the Butler Chorale, Indianapolis Opera, Indianapolis Symphony, Kokomo Symphony and the Indianapolis Men's Chorus. He has two sons, Chad and Luke.
Ian Denson has worked as a collaborative pianist for 8 years. He pursued a piano performance degree at Florida Gulf Coast University as part of the piano studio of Dr. Michael Baron. While at FGCU, Ian worked as one of the primary vocal accompanists and coaches for the music school, often accompanying the senior level students and large ensembles including the opera workshop and university choir. Ian is also a professional composer and arranger who has composed music for both high school and university level ensembles. Along with being a collaborative pianist, Ian has worked as Choir Director for the FGCU gospel choir; Creative Arts Director for God's Purpose in Action Ministries, a Florida-based non-profit organization; and as a Worship Leader / Pastor.
