University Information Technology Services (UITS) at Indiana University Kokomo develops and maintains a modern information technology environment throughout the campus in support of IU's vision for excellence in research, teaching, outreach and lifelong learning.
UITS provides technology tools and services to facilitate your work, including technology training and consulting, a world-class IT support center, a high-speed campus network with wireless access, central web hosting, a rich selection of free and low-cost software for personal use, technology enabled labs and classrooms, and campus printing and copying services.
UITS offers Faculty and Staff E-mail accounts using the University's Microsoft Exchange system. In addtion to E-mail, you can manage and share calendars, contacts, tasks and notes with your colleagues. You can interact with the exchange system using Microsoft Outlook on your desktop or laptop computer from on campus, or from anywhere in the world using Outlook Web Access.
IT Support Center
The UITS IT Support Center, located in KA221 offers faculty and staff quick support for all IT related issues or requests. To report an issue, simply fill out the request form and a support provider will contact you. Alternatively, you can contact us via E-mail or Unicom at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone, at (765) 455-9315.
Wifi access where you need it.
IU Kokomo free wireless access at most indoor locations on campus. The wireless network, known as IU-Secure is easy to setup and use. IU-Secure puts a world of information at your fingertips.
Campus Web Services
Need to build a webpage for professional or personal use? UITS has you covered. The Mypage service is available for serving personal web pages. Sign up for an account and create your own personal web page today.
IUWare - IU's free software distribution portal
IUWare is a software distribution service for Indiana University students, faculty, and staff. IUware offers a wide variety of software packages at no charge, including site-licensed products from Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec, Thomson Reuters, and others. Software packages include programs for reading email and web browsing, as well as antivirus and office applications. The university pays for the relevant licenses through agreements with vendors, allowing students, faculty, and staff to use the programs available through IUware free of charge. The IUware server is regularly updated, so patches and upgrades for IU-supported software are consistently available.
Copying and Printing
UITS provides printing and copying facilities for your use. Digital copiers are available in an office near you. Charges for the devices are calculated monthly and billed to your department's account. Contact the IT Support Center for more information on using the Digital Copier device near your office.
