Dr. Grabner-Hagen is an educational psychologist. She completed her PhD from Indiana University Bloomington in Educational Psychology with a cognate in Special Education (2004). Her undergraduate degree in Psychology is also from IUB (1990). Dr. Grabner-Hagen came to Indiana University Kokomo in 2008 after working as an adjunct lecture and associate instructor at Purdue University and Indiana University Bloomington.

Dr. Grabner-Hagen’s teaching areas are educational psychology, special education, foundations of education and research methods. Some of the courses she has taught at Indiana University Kokomo are listed below. Some of her research interests include special education (learning disabilities, RTI and gifted education), service learning, educational technology, and charter school governance.  Dr. Grabner-Hagen enjoys helping undergraduates and Masters students with research projects.

Dr. Grabner-Hagen is the IUK co-liaison for the Indiana Campus Compact. She is also the faculty advisor for the Education Student Advisory Council (EdSAC).
