Netty Provost is currently Lecturer in Philosophy in the Department of Humanities at Indiana University Kokomo. Additionally she directs the Multidisciplinary Studies Degree program at IUK and manages the Philosophy Minor.
Her areas of specialization in philosophy include Eastern philosophy, phenomenology, and ethics. She also has areas of competence in environmental ethics, contemporary continental philosophy and philosophy of religion and philosophy of human nature.
Netty has a wide range of interests in philosophy beyond her specializations and competencies including the scholarship of teaching and learning, aesthetics, philosophy of time, philosophy of technology, and philosophy of woman. She considers herself to be a generalsit in philosophy and is passionate about teaching philosophy at the undergraduate level.
Before to moving to Indiana, Netty lived in Maine and attended the University of Maine. Her studies there focused on philosophy, literature (in particular literary theory), and cultural anthropology. While at UMaine she also worked as a principle website developer for the University. At the moment she lives in Indiana with three eccentric cats and far too many books.
