International Opportunities

Scholarships

Traveling overseas is an exciting opportunity that is available to students but does require some expense. Scholarships are one of the ways students can lessen the expense of exploring the world.

David and Anna Global Scholarship

This competitive scholarship will be earned by a full time student who has a GPA of 3.0, demonstrates financial need and is participating in an IU approved credit-bearing IU Kokomo overseas study class outside Canada and the United States. Preference will be given to a student majoring in Business.

David Starr Jordan Scholarship

This award goes to IU Kokomo students who travel on campus programs to various locations. The award is co-sponsored by IU Bloomington and the IU Kokomo campus. Each year we award 14 $500 scholarships to students. The awards are competitive but all students must meet the same basic requirements: (a) must have 2.75 GPA, (b) take 3 credits worth of course work, (c) be traveling on an overseas study course which originates from the IU Kokomo campus.

Emita B. Hill Travel Scholarship

This competitive award of $500 is made to any student who travels on any long-term study program (for Summer session, semester or a year) or a shorter-term travel program originating from the IU Kokomo campus.

Selzer International Studies Scholarship

This award goes to IU Kokomo students who travel on campus programs to various locations. This prestigious $1000 scholarship is awarded to the most competitive applicants for assistance with overseas study costs. In any given year four $1000 awards are made. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be a full time student in good standing at the university.
