Communication Arts
The Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts is a broad-based liberal arts program focusing on the nature, processes, and effects of messages. Students choose between two tracks: corporate communication or performance communication. The corporate communication track is designed specifically for majors who are interested in careers in business, public relations, and media and entertainment. The performance communication track provides students with a general background in communication arts. Either track provides adequate background for students who seek postgraduate training in communication arts and other fields.
Careers
The corporate communications track may lead to positions in sales, management, labor relations, training and development, internal communications, issues management, or human relations, among others. The performance track leads to careers in the arts, business, law, health, education, social and human services, high-tech industries, and international relations and negotiations.
