Prelaw
Students who are planning to become lawyers often wonder what major they should choose as undergraduates. Generally, law schools take students from many different majors. Law school admissions committees look at the students' overall undergraduate records with emphasis on critical thinking, analytical skills, and language skills. Five of the most popular prelaw majors are political science, history, English, psychology, and criminal justice. IU Kokomo offers bachelor's degrees in all these areas, as well as other majors that prepare a student for law school.
If you are interested in attending law school after graduation, be sure that your academic advisor is aware of this so he or she can guide you toward academically rigorous courses that prepare you to study law.
