Student Field Trips

Students from the Freshman Learning Community visit the historic home of Indiana author Gene Stratton Porter. The home is located in Geneva, Indiana where the Limberlost swamp served as Gene's inspiration for many of her novels.

Students from the Freshman Learning Community visit the swamp near Gene Stratton Porter's home. Ken Brunswick from the Department of Natural Resources explains some of the restoration involved in restoring the swamp.

As part of the art history courses, I try to take students to visit museums in Indianapolis or Chicago. It is so great to see the artwork in person!
