- Fercho reported on current HRMS policies. Pay dates have been changed to the end of the month. Summer pay for adjuncts is paid from a position listed as visiting faculty summer only.
- The deans and chairs reported on the new programs being considered by their faculty.
- Nursing - second baccalaureate degree for current baccalaureate students who want a BSN degree.
- Continuing Education is going to focus on business and professional development rather than the usual general interest courses. There will be more contract work and possibilities for faculty engagement.
- Library is exploring the development of an information commons and continuing the discussions about possible university-wide electronic databases.
- SPEA- is looking at a MPM degree to replace the MPA degree.
- Arts & Sciences is exploring the possibility of a Journalism Degree.
- Education is working to develop a BS in Early Childhood program and if funding becomes available, will start a BS in Secondary Education.
- Allied Health has proposed a BS in Medical Imaging Technology.
- Business is looking at a minor in International Business and a possible post-MBA certificate.
- The BS in Informatics proposal can not be started without additional funding from the State.
- Stroman reported on registration and orientation. Transfer students and new students will have the same orientation schedule so everyone can verify their ADS accounts which must be active for students to register. Students shall be told that an e-mail from IUK-Info contains important information and should not be discarded.
- Vice Chancellor Green shared a 2004 Committee to Excellence proposal for a Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment to develop and sustain a campus-wide culture of assessment.
