Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs assists the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in a variety of areas related to the department's administration.
As Assistant Vice Chancellor, Dr. Tim Sehr acts as fiscal officer for all accounts relating to academic units, including Academic Affairs, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, Division of Education, School of Nursing, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Division of Continuing Studies. He assists academic unit heads in the development of their budgets and provides oversight to ensure that funds are properly allocated. Dr. Sehr also manages the Office of Planning and Institutional Research and handles Grants and Fellowships.
The Assistant Vice Chancellor assists faculty and others on campus in identifying possible sources of external funding and in preparing grant proposals to obtain external funds. He has oversight responsibility for all grant funds obtained by the campus. He serves as the campus representative on the Intercampus Research Fund Review Committee.
Dr. Sehr serves on the Academic Council, the Institutional Review Board, and the Information Technology Advisory Committee. He is the campus contact with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
The Assistant Vice Chancellor represents the campus in several community organizations, including Partners in Education, Leadership Kokomo, the Youth Council of the Workforce Investment Board, and Partners for a Healthier Community.
