Undergraduate Scholarship Form

Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship. The School of Business is authorized to award a scholarship of $1,000 due to its designation as an exemplary Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter. Any current BGS member or student who will be invited to become a member during the academic-year and will be a degree seeking student in the School of Business at IU Kokomo, is eligible to compete in the BGS Scholarship program. The scholarship is contingent upon acceptance of the membership invitation.

Bucheri, McCarty & Metz Scholarships. The Bucheri, McCarty & Metz Scholarship is designed to recognize students from Howard County enrolled at Indiana University Kokomo. The amount of the scholarship is $500. Recipients will be carefully selected on the basis of their academic achievements, co‑curricular activities and their written essay. Financial need will not be a factor.

Business and Economics General Scholarship. The Business and Economics General Scholarship is designed to recognize excellence and superior scholastic performance. The amount of the scholarship is $500. One scholarship will be awarded per year. Recipients will be carefully selected on the basis of their academic achievements, co-curricular activities and recommendations. Financial need will not be a factor

Fingleton Scholarship. The Fingleton Scholarship was established by Richard Fingleton. An award of $500 to an individual having strong academic performance in accounting and business. Service activity is also a major consideration. Preference is given to those with service to the accounting program, e.g., Accounting Council and VITA.

Outstanding Accounting Student Scholarship. This scholarship was established by Professor Marilyn Kintzele. The Outstanding Accounting Student Scholarship at Indiana University Kokomo is designed to recognize excellence and superior academic performance. This $750 scholarship is awarded twice a year, in both the fall and spring semesters.

Patricia Pencek Endowed Scholarship. The Patricia Pencek Endowed Scholarship is designed to recognize students from Howard County and/or contiguous counties (Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Grant, Miami, and Tipton) enrolled at Indiana University Kokomo. The amount of the scholarship is $500. Recipients will be carefully selected on the basis of their academic achievements and co-curricular activities. Financial need will not be a factor.

Sita C. and C. L. Amba-Rao Service Award. The Amba-Rao Service Award, a $500 scholarship donated by Professor Sita Amba-Rao, is given annually to one student in Management and Administration (or Management and Human Resources) of at least junior standing. The candidate should have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Students should demonstrate managerial and leadership potential through participation in campus and community organizations. The recipient is selected by a committee from the School of Business.

McGowan Award Form for M.B.A.

Brad Stansberry Memorial Scholarship. The Brad Stansberry Memorial Scholarship is awarded in memory of M.B.A. student Brad Stansberry, who was killed in an airplane accident. It is awarded annually to an M.BA. student chosen by graduate faculty.

Bucheri, McCarty & Metz Scholarship. The Bucheri, McCarty & Metz Scholarship is designed to recognize students from Howard County enrolled at Indiana University Kokomo. The amount of the scholarship is $500. Recipients will be carefully selected on the basis of their academic achievements, co‑curricular activities and their written essay.

Business and Economics General Scholarship. The Business and Economics General Scholarship is designed to recognize excellence and superior scholastic performance. The amount of the scholarship is $500. One scholarship will be awarded per year. Recipients will be carefully selected on the basis of their academic achievements, leadership in MBA Students’ Association and recommendations. Financial need will not be a factor.

Pendse Outstanding M.B.A. Student Award. This fund, established by Dr. Dilip and Vijaya Pendse, recognizes an outstanding M.B.A. student in the School of Business. Dr. Pendse, M.B.A. director, passed away in September 2001. The recipient, formally admitted to the M.B.A. program at Indiana University Kokomo, must have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a GPA of at least 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, and be completing the M.B.A. program requirements. The award for the current academic year is $500 and will be determined by the School of Business faculty strictly on the basis of academic achievement, not financial need.

Sita C. and C. L. Amba-Rao Service Award. The Amba-Rao Service Award, a $500 scholarship donated by Professor Sita Amba-Rao, is awarded annually to one M.B.A. student. The candidate should have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Students should demonstrate managerial and leadership potential through participation in campus and community organizations. The recipient is selected by a committee from the School of Business.

WILLIAM G. MCGOWAN SCHOLARSHIP. This scholarship covers tuition for an M.B.A. student who has taken at least two M.B.A. classes and has M.B.A. GPA above 3.0.
