Cougar Service Corporation
Indiana Campus Compact M3C Fellow Program

The Indiana Campus Compact M3C Fellows Program aims to:

  • develop a peer network and provide support that enables students to serve as agents of civic engagement and respond effectively to local community issues.
  • foster a deep appreciation and understanding of democratic values and citizenship among participants and nurture the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors that lead to a lifelong commitment to active community and civic participation.
  • encourage a commitment to higher education and improve retention rates and academic success of low-income and first generation college students

Initially, the program will seek involvement from all non-profit agencies currently registered with the local United Way. The hope will be to open involvement to other agencies next year. The agencies will benefit through work completed and consistent volunteer efforts.

The Cougar Service Corporation will work with the IU Kokomo Early Outreach Department, Destination Education, and Twenty-first Century Scholars programs. The Cougar Service Corporation will use this population as potential fellows and volunteers upon graduation from high school. Volunteers will be served with the hope of instilling a sense of service and community. The community will benefit from this for years to come.
