Programs
At Little Learners Child Care Center, we respect each child as an individual and foster positive communication in a nurturing environment. We accept children from ages one to five years, with priority for children of IU Kokomo students, faculty, and staff. Children are divided into three groups by age.

One-Year-Old Room
For children ages 12 to 23 months
Our one-year-olds receive individual opportunities for exploration and sensory learning through playtime, singing, and reading. This room operates with a schedule that meets the needs of our youngest children, including nap times. The adult-to-child ratio is one to five.

Two-Year-Old Room
For children ages 24 to 35 months
This classroom is set up to meet the curiosity and energy level of two-year-olds, with learning centers that include a block area, a space for dramatic play, sensory activities, art stations, and a quiet corner. The daily schedule includes time for free play where the children have a chance to rotate to the different activities. Our caregivers also incorporate "circle time" where children learn about shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and more. The adult to child ratio is one to five.

Three-Year-Old Room
For children ages 3 to 5 years
Our preschool program is a learning adventure with a different theme each week, special guests, outdoor play, and even cooking activities! Our daily schedule includes time for dramatic play, books, blocks, math, science, and discovery activities. Children are introduced to writing the alphabet and learn about shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and more during "circle time." The adult to child ratio is one to ten.
