Career Resources
The Office of Career Services offers career counseling, planning, and job search assistance to all students and alumni of Indiana University Kokomo. Our counseling and computer-based assessments are also available to people considering attending IU Kokomo.
Career and Self-Assessment Inventory
Meet with an Office of Career Services representative to discuss interests, strengths, and options. You can also:
- Sit down with our computer-based assessments using educational and career-planning software SIGI 3 or the personality inventory Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
- Browse through career library for information about current employment information, trends, salaries, options, and possible career interests.
- Enroll in Q294 Basic Career Planning, a 2-credit, eight-week course designed to get you thinking about career options. (Talk with your academic advisor if you are interested in signing up for this class.)
Career Library
The Career Library offers many sources of information to help in the career decision process, including:
- books and magazines about careers
- annual reports from various companies and organizations
- videos on career topics
- graduate school information - Graduate School Guide
- tips on career changes, résumé building, and how to interview

Credential Files
Students and alumni of Indiana University Kokomo and Purdue University College of Technology at Kokomo may activate a paper or online credential file. Our office has contracted with MonsterTrak to be our online credential service. MonsterTrak specializes in listing entry-level professional opportunities.
As a part of the credential file set-up, the Office of Career Services will keep copies of résumés and letters of recommendation on file. Copies of the letters will be sent to prospective employers at the student's request.

Internships
Internships provide a wealth of benefits, including:
