SafeWord Cards

You may need a SafeWord card to access some accounts, such as an IU Information System (IUIS) or Financial Information System (FIS) account.

How to Apply

To apply for a SafeWord card, please contact the IU Kokomo Helpdesk at extension 315 or go to the library's information commons. You will need to fill out a user agreement form. Once you have filled out the form and you have obtained a signature from the account manager, please return the form, sealed in the envelope provided, to the IU Kokomo Helpdesk to be processed.

Replacement Cards

If there is a problem with an old SafeWord card, contact the IU Kokomo Helpdesk at extension 315. If the card has to be replaced, you will need to fill out a replacement form and list the department account number.

If the department has a SafeWord card that can be transferred to a user, there is no charge for the card. If the department needs to buy a new SafeWord card, the account number given will be charged for a replacement SafeWord card at the current price of the card.
