Applying for Admission
Here are the steps to apply for admission into the General Studies Degree Program:
- Complete the Application for Admission to the General Studies Degree Program (PDF).
- Complete the IU Kokomo application and pay the nonrefundable $30 application fee. Make checks or money orders payable to IU Kokomo. (Please note that if you have already been officially admitted to IU, you do not need to submit an application fee again.) You will need to complete the Personal Update form.
- Submit the following documents:
(Please note that if you have already been admitted to IU, you may need to speak to a General Studies counselor to determine whether or not you will need to submit any of the following documents for admission.)
- Official high school transcript* or GED transcript*
- Official SAT/ACT scores (for individuals under 21 years of age only)
- Official college transcript(s)*
- A copy of DD214/CCAF (for military personnel only)

If you need to request your official high school, GED, or college transcripts, please print and complete the transcript form and mail it to your school, college, or education office. Please remember that some schools and colleges charge a transcript fee for each requested transcript.
