IU Kokomo students receive more than $5.7 million in financial aid each year. Approximately 35 percent of our students receive one or more types of aid (such as scholarships, grants, or loans). We invite you to explore this site and contact us to find out about opportunities to help finance your education.

For continuing IU Kokomo students, the weekly process of awarding financial aid for the 2008/09 aid year began on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Financial Aid Notifications are schedule to be mailed in the next 3 or 4 business days. Please check your OneStart account for up-to-date information.

IU Kokomo enters Federal Direct Lending for 2008-09

For the 2008-09 aid year, IU Kokomo will use the federal Direct Loan Program as its source for all federally backed loans. This decision was made to provide students with the best services and borrower benefits. Federal Direct Lending Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note

New Federal Direct Lending borrowers must complete Entrance Counseling and sign a Master Promissory Note. You can complete these steps online.

Tracking Your Application and Aid

Use OneStart© to:

  • View your financial aid award summary with options to accept, reduce/accept or decline some awards (e.g. Loans and Federal Work-Study). Please note that reducing or declining loans is typically suspended after July 1 each year. If you need this type of change and are unable to complete the process via OneStart, please contact our office. If you are communicating by email, please send your request from your IU email account and include your 10 digit student ID in the body of your message with a detailed request.
  • Check regularly (weekly) for To Do items that have been assigned that require your action. For example, you may have a To Do item assigned due to a problem with your FAFSA or if you have been selected for verification.
  • Review your estimated Cost of Attendance
