Howard/Tipton IU alumni sponsor free concert

KOKOMO, Ind.—The award winning men's a cappella group Straight No Chaser will perform in a free concert Tuesday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in IU Kokomo's Kresge Auditorium. The Howard/Tipton County chapter of Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) is sponsoring the concert, in celebration of Indiana Day 2005. IU alumni and the general public are invited to attend the show and a pre-concert reception outside the auditorium, starting at 7:15 p.m. (Each IUAA chapter sponsors a free Indiana Day event every year to bring together IU alumni in their area.) The 10 young men of Straight No Chaser are IU Bloomington students who perform at major campus events and as traveling good-will ambassadors for the IUAA. They have brought their close harmony rhythm and blues sounds to the Indianapolis 500 Speedway, the Chicago White Sox home field, and Chicago's Navy Pier. Weekday guests to campus who do not have an IU Kokomo parking pass are asked to park in the lower level of the parking garage, located on the south end of campus. Parking is free for this event only.
