Adult/Graduate Student Open House set May 1
April 21, 2005 | |||||

KOKOMO, Ind.—Prospective adult students and their families are invited to learn more about undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Indiana University Kokomo on Sunday, May 1. During a 1–3 p.m. open house and ice cream social in Kelley Student Center, visitors can tour the campus and talk with faculty members, admissions counselors, financial aid specialists, and other academic advisors. Parking, refreshments, and admission are all free. The open house lets people interested in completing or pursuing a college degree gather information quickly and conveniently, said event coordinator Lori Collins. At previous open houses on the campus, “people were glad that they could find out about all of IU Kokomo's more than 35 degree programs at one time. “On May 1, you can go on campus tours, and your family will able to see where you'll be going to school,” she said. “And, you can top the day off with ice cream for the whole family.” Collins is an academic advisor for IU Kokomo's Division of Continuing Studies, which oversees the ACCELerated Evening College program. The program's once-a-week evening courses “are designed for adult students with busy schedules,” Collins said. “You can find out more about ACCELerated Evening College at the open house.” For more information, call the Division of Continuing Studies, (765) 455-9395 or (800) 991-1459.
