Jones wins gold in Speech Olympics

KOKOMO, Ind.—Humanities major Candace Jones of Kokomo took first place gold medal honors in the April 24 Speech Olympics at Indiana University Kokomo. A humanities major, Jones also received a $100 prize for her short talk titled “Voices of Destruction.”

The second place silver medal went to Cassie Myers of Sharpsville. The history/political science major spoke on living with diabetes.

Psychology major Janna Mallay of Logansport finished third, receiving a bronze medal for her speech on procrastination.
