Enjoy music under the sky at IU Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind.—Indiana University Kokomo will present an open air concert by the Howard County Community Band Wednesday, May 2. The band will perform from the Earth Stage of the campus Quad, starting at 6 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
Admission is free and open to the public. Ice cream will be served.
The program will include traditional fare, such as “The Star Spangled Banner,” “El Conquistador (Spanish March),” and “Saints’ Hallelujah,” along with medleys from contemporary composers Billy Joel (“Movin’ Out,” “Piano Man”) and Henry Mancini (“Moon River,” “Baby Elephant Walk.”). The concert will conclude with the rousing “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”
