Fair offers help for parents, fun for kids

April 20, 2007

KOKOMO, Ind.—Families of infants through third graders can enjoy fun and learning at an Early Childhood Fair, offered Thursday, April 26, from 6–7:30 p.m. at Sycamore Elementary School in Kokomo. Educators and childcare providers are also welcome to the fair, coordinated by Indiana University Kokomo students majoring in early childhood education. Admission is free.

The evening includes refreshments, games for young children, and opportunities for adult visitors to learn about kid-friendly community resources, said student organizer Allison Hillis of Kokomo. “The fair is geared to help parents be their child's best, first teacher. Exhibitors will provide information regarding children’s health, activities for children, and other family supports.” Exhibits will cover
