Early Childhood Fair features community resources, children’s games

KOKOMO, Ind. – Families of infants through third graders will enjoy fun and learning at the Early Childhood Fair, Wednesday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Sycamore Elementary School in Kokomo. Admission is free.
The Center for Early Childhood Education at Indiana University Kokomo and the Head Start program at Sycamore Elementary are cosponsoring the fair. It is one of several local celebrations of the Week of the Young Child, April 19-25, an awareness week developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight will be on hand at 6 p.m. to proclaim April 29 as the “Day of the Young Child.”
The evening includes refreshments, games for young children, and opportunities for adult visitors to learn about kid-friendly community resources. The fair is geared to help parents be their child's best, first teacher.
