Campus journal From the Well House showcases written, visual artworks in second issue

April 8, 2009

KOKOMO, Ind. – The second issue of Indiana University Kokomo’s literary and artistic journal will be released next week. From the Well House: The IU Kokomo Review of Arts and Sciences will be available in the Kelley Student Center across from the bookstore, on Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a suggested donation of $1.

From the Well House is a student-run, faculty-led journal which provides the opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to have their creative and scholarly work published. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review by editorial boards before being selected. The Well House is directed by Eva White, assistant professor of English, and senior Matt Russell. Professors Gregory Steel, assistant professor of fine arts, and Joe Keener, assistant professor of English, advise the editorial boards.

Now in its second year, the Well House has grown by creating an online presence as well as establishing a Live Issue event. The next Live Issue will take place on September 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Art Gallery, providing an opportunity for the published artwork to be displayed and the published writing to be read by the authors.
