Sell your hand-crafted items at November 5 show

August 3, 2005

KOKOMO, Ind.—The Indiana University Kokomo Staff Council invites artisans and crafters of hand-made items to participate in its 14th Annual Juried Arts and Crafts Show, Saturday, November 5, on campus.

More than 80 booths—10 X 10 feet spaces—are available at $50 each, for the 9 a.m.–3 p.m. show. Past shows have drawn capacity crowds of shoppers, finding bargains in original, hand-crafted jewelry, clothing, toys, furniture, floral displays, seasonal decorations, and more. Visitors also enjoy free admission and parking, opportunities to win door prizes, and refreshments available from the Kelley Student Center Commons cafeteria.

Booth space for the 2005 show is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All vendor applications, including those of returning vendors, will be judged by a committee of Staff Council members and must be accompanied by pictures of applicants' crafts. The Staff Council Juried Arts and Crafts show will be advertised in area newspapers and at various businesses.

To learn more about being a vendor, contact Tara Halbrook at thalbrook@iuk.edu or (765) 455-9273 or Anna Chaplin at achaplin@iuk.edu or (765) 455-9368. You can also visit the Staff Council Web site (www.iuk.edu/~kosc) and click on the “Arts and Crafts show” link to obtain an application form.

Proceeds of the show benefit student scholarships funded by the Staff Council. The council represents the interests of all clerical, technical, and maintenance employees of the IU Kokomo campus.
