August 23, 2007
Indiana University Kokomo freshman class has increased with dramatic gains in students attending directly from high school. Within the freshman class, 362 students are 2007 high school graduates. The number of students attending IU Kokomo directly from high school has increased by 23 percent from last year, one of the largest increases on record.
“Students have choices of where to attend: the facilities, faculty, and opportunity to earn an IU degree is obviously appealing to our incoming freshmen,” stated IU Kokomo Chancellor Ruth J. Person.
Although official figures are not released until the enrollment period closes, the campus has seen increases in number of students, credit hours, and within academic programs.
Indiana University Kokomo serves an 11 county area in north central Indiana. The campus offers more than 40 academic programs including four master’s degrees.
