Narwold Appointed to State Board of Nursing

December 12, 2007

Associate Clinical Professor of Nursing, Lynda Narwold, was recently appointed by Governor Mitch Daniels to serve as a member of the Indiana State Board of Nursing for a term that will expire July 1, 2011. Narwold received her B.S. in nursing in 1974, and later her M.A. in 1988 from Ball State University. The Indiana State Nursing Board sets the rules and maintains the professional examinations for education and licensing for nurses in the state.

Along with her medical board membership, Narwold is currently the coordinator of IU Kokomo’s Associate in Nursing program and has been a faculty member since 1984. Narwold has served several times as facilitator in the national “People to People Medical Summit,” which brings together high school students interested in medical careers, this year held at Johns Hopkins University Maryland.

Narwold is also co-founder and director of “Camp Eze-the-Wheeze” an annual weeklong summer camp, at Howard County’s Jackson Morrow Park. Last summer, Camp Eze-the Wheeze celebrated its eleventh year of serving and instructing children with asthma and diabetes.
