Promote career, service openings at student fair
February 5, 2007
KOKOMO, Ind.—Looking for fresh ideas and new talent for your business or nonprofit organization? An Indiana University Kokomo student—or a whole class of them—might fill the bill. Explore your options as an exhibitor at the campus’s Career/Community Service/Internship Fair on Wednesday, February 21.
From 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Alumni Hall, exhibitors can meet informally with IU Kokomo students and talk about their organization’s opportunities for employment, volunteerism, internships, and service learning projects. Several IU Kokomo courses incorporate service learning assignments, in which students apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world tasks meeting specific business and community needs.
There is no charge to participate as an exhibitor. Space can be reserved by contacting the Office of Career Services, (765) 455-9301, up to February 15.
The Career/Community Service/Internship Fair caps Raise Your Voice Week activities at IU Kokomo. A national student civic engagement campaign, Raise Your Voice Week encourages university students to participate in the public life of their communities.
The public is invited to attend any of these free events:
