SPEA to host executive leadership workshop in Marion

KOKOMO, Ind. – Regional leaders seeking to improve their management skills are invited to attend a workshop that will offer insight on organization, building relationships, and mobilizing employees.

The workshop, titled “Leadership for Achieving Results: Transforming Good to Great,” will take place on Thursday, February 26, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, February 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Marion City Hall. The event is co-sponsored by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Kokomo and the City of Marion.

Some of the discussion will focus on current issues leaders face, visionary leadership potential, and how a leader differs from a manager. In addition, the workshop will examine how successful leaders can revitalize and transform their organizations.

The cost of the workshop is $150 per person, with checks made payable to SPEA IU Kokomo. Please send registration information by Monday, February 23, to Robert Dibie, dean of SPEA, IU Kokomo East Building – Room 332, 2300 S. Washington Street, Kokomo, IN, 46904.

A Certificate of Completion for the executive leadership workshop will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the program. Marion City Hall is located at 301 S. Branson Street, Marion.
