Yucatan Adventure Preview Party to share information on trip

KOKOMO, Ind. – Come and join fellow Indiana University Kokomo alumni and friends this fall as they travel south of the border to Mexico’s lush Yucatan Peninsula and explore the ancient Maya ruins, pyramids, and temples. A Yucatan Adventure Preview Party will take place on Thursday, February 12, 5:30 p.m. at the Kelley House on campus to share more information about the eight-day excursion.
This Smithsonian Journeys Travel Adventures tour will take place November 1-8 and will include airfare from Indianapolis to Cancun, Mexico. The Yucatan is home to a unique culture influenced by the indigenous Maya Indians and historic trading partners from the Caribbean and Europe. Travelers will explore a world of ancient Maya ruins, colonial architecture, and savory cooking, as well as enjoy a series of exclusive talks given by resident experts.
