Preview summer theatre trip
January 19, 2006
KOKOMO, Ind.—Three days of theatre, shopping, great food, and more are on the itinerary for the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association’s (IUKAA) 15th annual bus excursion to the Stratford Festival of Canada, North America’s largest classical repertory theatre festival.
Learn how you can be part of the fun at a Stratford Festival Preview Party Sunday, January 29, starting at 2 p.m. in the IU Kokomo Art Gallery. The trip is planned June 23–25; paid reservations cover transportation, lodging, some meals, and admission to three plays.
“The great professional theatre and outstanding hospitality of Stratford bring participants back year after year for the IUKAA trip,” said Cathy Hightower, alumni relations director. “We want to let even more people know about it with the Preview Party.”
Refreshments will be served during the preview session. Associate Professor of Communication Arts Colin Black will describe the productions that tour participants will see—the musicals Oliver! and South Pacific and the drawing room farce London Assurance. Travelers can also sign up for optional matinee performances of Much Ado About Nothing and Henry IV, Part 1.
RSVP for the Preview Party by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@iuk.edu or (765) 455-9413.
