Learn about Stratford theatre tour

KOKOMO, Ind.—Enjoy a June weekend of musical theatre, comedy, and drama at the Stratford Festival of Canada, hosted by the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association (IUKAA).

The IUKAA will offer a preview of its 2007 theatre festival bus trip on Sunday, January 28, starting at 2 p.m. at the IU Kokomo Art Gallery. Refreshments will be served, and visitors can talk with previous tour participants about their experiences.

“This is the 16th year that the IUKAA has taken theatre lovers to the Stratford Festival of Canada, which features some of the finest theatre in North America,” said Alumni Relations Director Cathy Hightower. Paid reservations cover transportation for the June 22–24 trip, lodging, some meals, and admission to three plays: The Merchant of Venice, The Comedy of Errors, and the musical My One and Only. Participants will have the option to attend Saturday matinees of To Kill a Mockingbird or Oklahoma!

“Festival plays are always amazing, top-quality productions, and Stratford, Ontario, is a beautiful hospitable city, with lots of parks, shopping, and restaurants,” Hightower said. “We invite the public to come to our January 28 preview and learn more.”
