Biddle named Little Learners director

KOKOMO, Ind.—Suzanne Biddle has been named director of IU Kokomo Little Learners Child Care Center. Biddle was formerly the director of Children’s Discover Center in Kokomo and a case manager for Four County Counseling Center.
Little Learners serves youngsters ages 1–6, who are primarily the children of IU Kokomo students, faculty and staff. However, the center does accept clients from outside the campus community. This summer, the center launched its first summer day camp for children ages 6–12. During fall and spring semesters, Biddle will oversee a dozen staffers, many of whom are students majoring in elementary education. With a bachelor’s degree in child development from Iowa State University and previous experience in writing curricula for early childhood, Biddle said she is looking forward to developing additional specific curricula for all age levels of children attending the IU Kokomo center. “This is not just babysitting that we do here at the center. I want to promote the music, art and activities to develop fine motor skills that we offer in all classrooms,” she said.
