Nursing Honor Society Induction and Scholarship Awards at IU Kokomo

The Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing held its induction ceremony and has announced the names of the inductees. Candidates for membership must have demonstrated superior scholastic achievement and leadership potential. The R.N. to B.S.N. program inductees are Kelly Taylor, Donia Webb, Bradley Yensho, Lori Yensho, Nancy Norman, Janelle McKee, Jeffrey Hatchett, Misty Swan, Michelle Harner, and Karin Landrum. The basic B.S.N. inductees are Belinda Harrison, Dena Bodayla, Amy Jackson, Emilee Minks, Sherri Ross, Angela Powell, Karen Sanchez, and Dena Seifert.
Alpha Chapter has a long and distinguished history of providing leadership to the profession of nursing, including supporting nursing education, nursing scholarship, and nursing service. Alpha Chapter is pleased to provide this leadership by: supporting research grants that advance nursing science; recognizing contributions of stellar nursing leaders; and awarding nursing student scholarships to student nurse members. Michelle Harner and Janelle McKee were presented scholarship awards at the induction.
The Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is the charter chapter established in 1922 by a group of six student nurses from the Indiana University Training School for Nurses. Since then, Sigma Theta Tau has grown significantly with over 120,000 active members in 433 chapters, across more than 90 countries.
