Hispanic, Latino students can discover their college future
March 30, 2007
KOKOMO, Ind.—Hispanic and Latino high school students of north central Indiana are invited to explore the college experience on Hispanic and Latino Day, Thursday, April 12, at Indiana University Kokomo.
The 9 a.m.–1 p.m. program is presented jointly by four area institutions of higher learning: Ancilla College, Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech Community College–Region 5, and IU Kokomo.
Participants can learn about typical college and university
• Admissions procedure
• Degrees and majors
• Academic and social support
• Transferring credits
• Social life
They can also enjoy a free lunch, campus tours, and give-aways.
Interested students should register by contacting the admissions office of the nearest sponsoring college or university. Students of Noblesville, Carmel, Frankfort, Westfield, Hamilton Southeastern, and Clinton-Prairie high schools are asked to contact the IU Kokomo Office of Admissions at (765) 455-9217 or toll free (888) 875-4IUK.
Invited high schools may offer transportation to Hispanic and Latino Day; watch for posters with this information at your school.
