Logansport artist featured in IU Kokomo Spotlight

KOKOMO, Ind.—Oksana Hontar-Franklin, an artist born in Lvov, Ukraine, is exhibiting her works in the IU Kokomo Art Gallery Artist Spotlight window through May 31. She has 13 painting and drawings on display, including portraits, still lifes and images of scenes from Warsaw and Logansport.
Hontar-Franklin was trained at the Far East Academy of Art in Vladivostok, Russia. Much of her work appears in the many naval and maritime institutes and museums in Vladivostok, where she worked in the 1980s and ’90s. The artist now resides in Logansport with her husband and son.
