IU Kokomo Commencement set May 9

KOKOMO, Ind.—Indiana University Kokomo will conduct its 37th Commencement exercises on Tuesday, May 9. A total 487 degree candidates completing program requirements in May, June, and August 2006 will be honored, along with December 2005 graduates.
The Commencement ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the east side of the Kelley Student Center, with IU President Adam Herbert presiding. This outdoor ceremony is open to the public.
During Commencement, the IU Kokomo Alumni Association will present its Distinguished Alumni Award to Annette Russell, president and CEO of Security Federal Bank in Logansport.
If inclement weather forces Commencement to be held inside, two separate ceremonies will be held in Havens Auditorium. The first indoor ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m.; the second at 1:30 p.m. Because of space limitations, admission to the indoor ceremonies will be limited to ticket holders. Local Purdue Commencement May 10
In 2006, for the first time, Purdue University College of Technology will conduct separate Commencement ceremonies from those of IU Kokomo. The Purdue Commencement will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 6–7 p.m. in Havens Auditorium. Some 47 degree candidates will be honored. The ceremony is open to the public.
