A Record Setting 541 Graduates at IU Kokomo

KOKOMO, IN—May 6. The ceremony salutes a total 541 new alumni, including students who graduated in December 2007 and candidates completing program requirements in May, June, and August 2008. In Tuesday’s ceremony, 328 degree candidates will be participating. The Commencement ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the east side of the Kelley Student Center, with IU President Michael McRobbie presiding. This outdoor ceremony is open to the public.
During Commencement, the IU Kokomo Alumni Association will present its Distinguished Alumni Award to local dentist, Walter C. Brown II, D.D.S., who attended IU Kokomo, receiving his D.D.S. in 1973 from the IU School of Dentistry.
If inclement weather forces Commencement exercises inside, two separate ceremonies will be held in Havens Auditorium. The first indoor ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m.; the second at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are required for admission to the indoor ceremonies only.
